Seal tour

In the Westerschelde there are many seals! If you look closely, you can see them swimming or lying on the sandbanks at low tide. If you want to get a closer look at them, join us on a Scheldesafari!

With our sturdy and fast RIB, we sail towards the sandbanks that become free at low tide. This is where dozens of seals can be seen. Of course we do not enter the sandbar and we stay at an appropriate distance, from where we can have a good look at them!

Going on the Scheldesafari is a fun experience and adventure!
During the trip you will not only enjoy the many seals that can be seen, but also the free wide view over the Westerschelde, the beautiful skies above your head, the wind in your hair and the large impressive ships that pass nearby.

Starting point
We start the trip and search for the seal in the harbor of Hoedekenskerke, from where we sail into the Westerschelde. After about 45 minutes you will be back in the harbor.
There is ample free parking for bikes and car.

Seal spotting on the Westerschelde is a fun activity for young and old.
We sail with a fast and tough RIB and therefore keep the minimum age as 6 years. Also having a swimming certificate is required!

What does it cost?
children 6 to 12 years: € 27.50 p.p.
from 13 years: € 35.00 p.p

Please make sure to be at the small harbor 15 minutes before departure.
A cruise takes about 45 minutes. Before departure you will be given life jackets and some safety instructions.
In case of bad/threatening weather the captain will decide if the trip will take place.
If the trip is cancelled, you will be informed as soon as possible. So please make sure we have your 06 number.
Alcohol is not allowed and persons under the influence will be refused.
Minimum age 6 years old.

Keep in mind the weather conditions. For example, dress warm and windproof if necessary.
Long hair is best worn in a ponytail.
